Sound Art & Music

A sound art composition which uses binaural beats to emulate the emotional states experienced by a Tourette's sufferer as they go on a journey to heal their condition using audio bio-feedback and brainwave sensing equipment.

A dystopian world now covered only in water. Dark waters churn and swirl and thunderstorms rage overhead. As the seas boil and rage, whispers of the lost souls who met their demise in the great floods can be heard calling out from the ocean.

Climate change sound art, all made from one 3 second sample of coins jingling.

This composition tells the story of our planet Earth using selected sounds from the planets changing soundscape. It takes us from the firey birth of the planet, through the storms that created the oceans, the age of the dinosaurs and the breaking up of the glaciers of the ice age, to the sounds of humans, their agriculture, industry, and technology. It reminds us of the power of nature and that we, ultimately are a part of it- imparting the message that we must listen to nature and pay attention to the changing Soundscape, because if we listen closely it is warning us that we may well be bringing about the demise of our species through our own actions. Drawing from strong environmentalist principles and the ideologies of the school of Soundscape artists such as Hildergard Westerkamp and Murry R Schafer.

an epic battle of lurcher and bovidae that lasts for hours condensed into a short piece of sound, for all the hillcresters that have witnessed the ongoing war.....

This is the soundtrack to the process of being strapped into the bodyshop's mind transference chair and having the contents of your brain sucked out and infused into that of an embryo of your design and choice, situated next to you in a bubbling jar linked to the chair by a mass of tangled wires and tubes - as seen at Glastonbury Festival 2009.

A one hour meditation soundscape recorded at the beautiful Firemountain retreat in Ganeshpuri, Maharashtra, India. All sounds used were recorded there on an iPhone. It starts with the morning Agnihotra ceremony, then yoga followed by monsoon showers during chai-time and ends with the sounds of frogs, birds and rain from the natural thermal hot-spring hot tub. Being there was a really healing and wonderful experience and I created this so I can close my eyes and be back there in the serene peace and beauty. Just to be clear - I don't support any of these conspiracy theories, but I do find them pretty funny, verging on scary.
